Six- to 12-inch single, semidouble, or double flowers appear in late spring.  Many colors and varieties.  Foliage is gray-green.

Light and Soil: Partial shade; can tolerate full sun.  Rich, moist, well-drained soil.

Comments
Very showy with flashy flowers.  Use as specimen plants or in beds.  Protect in winter in cold winter areas.  Hardier than they look.  Occasionally need staking.
