Swiss-Cheese Plant
Also called hurricane plant, Mexican breadfruit, or split-leaf philodendron
(Monstera deliciosa)

Easy to grow and durable, Swiss-cheese plant boasts vining stems and broad, dark green leaves.

Light
Expose to medium (bright indirect) light.  Tolerates low light, although the dimmer the light, the less the leaves develop their characteristic holes and slashes.  Grows well if under artificial light 16 hours per day.

Water
Let soil surface dry out between thorough waterings.  Mist frequently.  Raise humidity.

Temperature
Maintain temperatures in the 80s during the day, if possible.  Tolerates average temperatures.

Comments
Plant in large pot with adequate support for vine.  Feed every 14 days with mild solution during active growth.  Clean leaves monthly.  Avoid leaf polishes.  Propagate by air layering, seed, leaf-bud cuttings, or tip cuttings.
