Pellionia 
Also called rainbow vine, or trailing watermelon begonia
(Pellionia species)

Although slow growing, pellionia's trailing purple-tinged foliage makes it ideal for hanging displays.  The plant is hard to find in some areas.

Light
Expose to medium (bright indirect) light.  Plant tolerates low light.  Grows well if under artificial light 14 hours per day.

Water
Keep very moist (almost wet), but avoid sogginess, which causes rot.  Mist as often as possible.  Raise humidity.

Temperature
Maintain high temperatures for best growth.  Tolerates average temperatures.  Never let temperatures fall below 59 degrees.

Comments
Feed every 14 days with mild solution March through September.  Prune back in spring if plant gets scruffy.  Clean leaves every month.  Propagate by tip cuttings.
