Bamboo Palm
(Chamaedorea erumpens)

Bamboo palm is one of the best palms for indoor use because it grows no taller than five feet.  It also costs less than other species.  Its name comes from the rich, lush, bamboo-like stems it sprouts.

Light
Expose to medium (indirect) light or filtered sun.  Avoid full sun, which may pale the fronds.

Water
Keep soil evenly moist.  Mist with tepid water.

Temperature
Maintain high temperatures for best growth.  Tolerates average temperatures.  Avoid cold drafts.

Comments
Keep plant root-bound.  During active growth, feed monthly with a dilute acid fertilizer.  Do not overfertilize.  Keep foliage clean.  Remove dead or yellow leaves.
