Asparagus Fern Also called lace fern (Asparagus species) The several species of asparagus that are commonly called asparagus fern are not really ferns at all, but they have the same graceful look as true ferns and are ideal for hanging baskets or broad shelves. Light Place in high light (full sun) during fall and winter. Give a southeastern exposure in spring and summer. Water Keep soil evenly moist. Mist daily. Raise humidity. Temperature Maintain average temperatures. Never allow temperatures to drop below 50 degrees at night. Comments Cut back regularly for good appearance. New growth emerges rapidly. Feed monthly during active growth and much less the rest of the year. Propagate by division or from the little black seeds produced by the berries.
