Mint

Popular mint varieties are apple mint, orange mint, spearmint, and black peppermint.  Mint plants spread and can become like a weed. 

Planting
Plant seeds or root divisions early in the spring.  Divide mint plants every few years.

Harvest
Clip fresh leaves any time.  To dry, cut back stems to the second set of leaves just before the plants flower.  Hang stems in a well-ventilated, shady area; then store in airtight containers.
