Larkspur
Also called rocket larkspur or annual delphinium
(Consolida sp.)
 
Single and double flowers borne on spikes 1 to 4 feet tall.  Lacy green foliage.  Blue, rose, salmon, pink, white.  Varieties:  Dark Blue Spire, White King, Pink Perfection.
 
Soil and Light
Full sun, but need some shade in hot areas.  Light well-drained, fertile soil.
 
Planting
Sow in early spring outdoors.  In milder areas, sow in the fall.  Sow at 3-week intervals for continuous bloom.
 
Comments
Cut flowers for fresh arrangements.  Use plants along fences and walls.
