To make Nav-Bars and place them on your web page:

  1. In the Site Manager, double click on any page where you want to insert a Nav-Bar.

  2. Place the cursor where you want a Nav-Bar to be inserted.

  3. Click on Navigation Bar icon, or click on Navigation from the Insert menu.

  4. In the Type folder, select the Page check box in the Navigation section. This inserts a Nav-Bar with buttons that will link from the current page to other pages. There are two other options in this section, Frames and Bookmarks. These enable you to build Nav-Bars with buttons that link from the current page to (I) other Frame or Frame Source Overlays or (II) several bookmarks on the same page.

  5. Check the Siblings check box in the Style section. This will insert a Nav-Bar in your current page. The different buttons in the Nav-Bar will point or link to all other pages on the same level and of the same parent.

  6. Check the Image check box in the Type of button section. This will insert Nav-Bars which are images (or graphic) as opposed to text bars.

  7. Check the Horizontal check box in the Orientation section.

  8. Check the Base line check box in the Alignment of text surrounding the button section. Text can be wrapped around Nav-Bars, and this section specifies the alignment of that text relative to the Nav-Bar.

  9. Click on the Style folder tab and click on Fonts button. Select the text font to be used for the label of the button. Use the two pull down menus to specify the alignment or justification of the button label on or around the button itself.

  10. Click on the Image button and from the libraries of Nav-Bar objects select the one you want to use.

  11. From the list of Level group buttons, you can select and check or un-check the groups of Nav-Bars you want to insert or remove. Example: Click and select one of the listed button groups and un-check its check box. The preview sample window will display the sample with that group of pages or items removed.

  12. The two buttons with up and down arrows enable you to move the group of buttons up or down in the list. Correspondingly, that group of buttons moves right or left in the Nav-Bar of the Sample window.

  13. The default spacing between each button of the Nav-Bar is 10. You can change this setting and make the buttons close to each other or move them farther apart.

  14. Click OK and the Nav-Bars will be placed in your current [page, with enough buttons to provide distinct links from this current page to all the pages of your web site you specified. In this current example you had selected the "Siblings" group.
