Shout3D™ 2.0 - Workflow Tutorial


Creating the Content

Create a box-shaped mesh in your 3D modeling package and apply a texture map to it. The picture on the right shows a screenshot of 3D Studio MAX with a Box object collapsed to an Editable Mesh, positioned at the world origin. Don't bother creating any lights or cameras.

An image of the Shout3D logo has been mapped to all sides using a box projection method. You can use whatever image and projection method you want. If you'd like to use the logo image, you'll find shout3dlogo.gif in the workflow_tutorial/references directory. You can also find the MAX file used here in the same directory.
