BEACHES

There are rocky outcroppings between Çayaðzý, which is Demre's pier and @Patara@ on the west end of Antalya's shoreline, which is filled with wide, sandy beaches. The nicest beach along this generally rocky stretch is the @Kapýtaþ Beach,@ near Kalkan.  The Kömürlü, Sülüklü and Çayaðzý beaches, which are all situated near Demre, are where the @Caretta caretta@ species of sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The famous Çayaðzý
