The Story:
Our story begins way back in 1996, when we first started kicking around the ideas for what was to become yall.com. Kinda like a cross between a Southern gothic novel, Bikini magazine, National Lampoon and the Dukes of Hazard, y'all is an alternative multimedia webzine, focusing on the lighter side of Southern culture, music and entertainment. Y'all is produced by a few genuinely warped individuals in Atlanta, Ga.
So be sure to tell us what you think, and please write our URL (www.yall.com) in every public restroom, bar and Waffle House you can find. Much obliged.
Come back real soon, you hear?
WARNING!
Have fun with our database. But our lawyer, who unlike us, has an unpleasant disposition (and nasty breath), has told us to pass this message along. We went to a lot of trouble to put this database together and it's ours. Search through it and and play with it all you like. You can even print stuff from it -- but just for yourself and not to make money.
If you think other people would think this stuff is cool, don't give them copies of it or forward it to them -- send them to us! And if you have any questions, just e-mail us at mattk@yall.com. Thanks.

Browsers
Y'all is created with Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer 3.0 and above in mind. If you're using an old version (pre-2.0) or another browser, you'll miss a few of our cooler tricks.
Plug-ins
To get the most out of y'all, we recommend downloading Shockwave (for streaming audio, games and other fun stuff) and Vivo (for streaming video). Apple's Quicktime and Quicktime VR plug-ins are highly recommended, but you could probably get by without them.
Navigating
As you've surely realized by now, the y'all menus are the big clickable image maps (graphics) at the top of every page. You can navigate to headlines or other areas by clicking on the text or nearby image.
Printing
To print our black background story pages in Netscape, go to page setup and select black text. Then, print as normal. This will give you highly desired black text on white background.
Advertising
If you're interested in advertising on y'all, contact Sherean Malekzadeh (Don't let the name scare you; she's one of us.).
