Joni Mabe is an artist who lives in Athens, Ga. Her specialty includes putting all sorts of objects together to form crazy, pop culture shrines as books, postcards, exhibits and whatever she can come up with. And, of course, there's always Elvis...
Some basic stats before we begin the journey into Mabe's wild and wacky world of all things Elvis and beyond...
She lives in Athens, Ga.
She has a Master's degree from the University of Georgia in Fine Arts.
Her husband likes race cars.
She likes collecting celebrity autographs, among many other things, of mostly dead stars. She didn't plan it that way it just sort of happened.
The Classic Postcard Book images exhibit Mabe's knack for picking out the unusual and the eccentric as pop culture icons while the Poster Book gallery exhibit will tell you more... her brush with a dead chicken, the Elvis wart, the "maybe Elvis toe-nail clipping," the oddity museum, dead stars and all.

Joni Mabe holds her prized Elvis' wart kept preserved in the small bottle which is further kept locked up in a safety deposit box. She explains how she found the alleged Elvis wart below:
"This friend told me that she had met this doctor in Memphis that had cut it out of [Elvis'] right hand before he went in the army. I thought she was joking that it was really real. She went and tracked him down and got the price and I bought it from him," Mabe explains.
And how much did she pay?
"Well... It was a lot. I had to borrow money from the bank."
