Since its debut in April 1996, Scientific American's Web site has been met with great enthusiasm, receiving more than 31,000 visits per week.

The site combines the editorial excellence and authority Scientific American is known for with a true understanding of the interactivity of the medium. Many elements are unique to the Web version. Those originating in print are enhanced for the electronic experience.

Minimum commitment: $3,000 (one month)

Positioning

All banners receive run-of-site positioning in rotation on the highest-trafficked pages, including the home page.

Banners are positioned at the top of the page for maximum visibility.

Creative Specifications

Ad banner creative may be changed weekly, or various banners may be rotated randomly. Materials must be received at least two business days prior to the scheduled appearance on the site. All banners are subject to approval by the Associate Publisher/Advertising Director.

Banner size: 234 pixels wide by 60 pixels high

File Format: GIF or JPEG with file saved in RGB color

No Maximum File Size
