Pathfinder Chat sponsors many live chat events each week. Past chat guests have included the
likes of political figure Mario Cuomo, Batman creator Bob Kane and musician Alanis
Morrisette. (For a list of upcoming events, take a look at the Chat Calendar.)
Most of these events are moderated.
Moderated chats help ensure that everyone has a chance to participate in the conversation.
During moderated events, you can ask questions of the
chat's featured guest by entering the chat room called the Auditorium and using
the Ask Button on the iChat navigational bar. This button is active only during a moderated chat event. When
you click on this button, a dialog box appears in which you
which you can type a question for the chat guest and send it to the Moderator of the chat.
While you're in the Auditorium, the only person to whom you can send private messages is the Moderator. If you send a private
message to anyone else, your message will appear on your text screen -- but it will not be seen by anyone else.
