Like most urban scenes across this is fine land, God our Lord in Heaven has blessed San Francisco with a bounty of bands, but only a handful of clubs to play in. And only after you've done the proper industry schmoozing and smoked out the right booking agents will you be allowed to enter the circle.

9up is the name of an actual rehearsal studio in San Francisco, an independent web site, and a live event featuring the raw, uncommericalized SF music scene. Every other Saturday from 4 to 8, or so, we'll broadcast two local bands playing live from the 9up studio at Francisco Studios. Some bands you might know, most you won't.

But don't worry! We're gonna continue smoking out bookies and earn our gold stars the American way, but what better way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon than to hang out with the local kids, drink some Pabst and play some rock'n'roll?!!
