ere are some skin care techniques for your face that you can try at home. Your skin type will determine the skin regimen that is best for you.

If your skin is normal; not too oily and not too dry, wash your face with cool water. Hot water disturbs the natural balance that keeps your skin in the normal range between dry and oily. When you wake up, don't use any cleansers after washing the face. Perspiration that occurred while you sleep will be cleaned away with water. Moisturize with a light cream, once in the morning and then again at night. Once a week apply a facial mask; look for a mask that provides nutrients for the skin. Stay away from harsh soaps, face scrubs, or astringents. At night, use a mild cleanser to remove makeup, and any other type of dirt that may have built up during the day.
If your skin is in the normal to oily range, follow the normal skin routine. You could also apply a toner after cleansing. When choosing a moisturizer, look for creams containing cucumber, aloe vera, or lemon. They help fight oily skin. Stay away from harsh scrubs and astringents. These products will not cure your oily skin; they will only damage it.
If your face is very oily, wash only with cool water. Use a water soluble cleanser that is balanced, and a neutral toner. Find a moisturizer with aloe vera, rosemary, or royal jelly. Once a week use a deep cleansing mask, and try to minimize the use of makeup and heavy creams.
