"Virtual Volunteering"

Impact Online, the nonprofit organization "turning good intentions into action", launched an exciting new national program in December 1997: Virtual Volunteering, which seeks to encourage development of volunteer activities that can be completed off-site via the Internet.

Virtual Volunteering allows anyone to contribute time and expertise to nonprofit organizations, schools, government offices and other agencies that utilize volunteer services, without ever leaving their home or office. It also enables such agencies to expand the benefits of their volunteer programs, by allowing for more volunteers to participate, and by utilizing volunteers in new areas.

This program is made possible by the generous support of the
    James Irvine Foundation
the David and Lucille Packard Foundation
    and the Morino Institute.
