![]() What is a Fanatic? A fanatic is a volunteer who helps spread the word about Impact Online. Our fanatics see how the Web can be used to increase volunteerism by making it easier for people to get involved. Already, fanatics are signing up nonprofits across the country and letting their communities know about our free service. Everyone can contribute to our efforts -- the role of a fanatic is tailored to your area of interest and expertise. You can choose to be a Grassroots or Frontline Fanatic. Grassroots fanatics spread the word about Impact Online. They may work in conjunction with a Frontline Fanatic or on their own. Grassroots Fanatics are encouraged to set a goal: i.e., register 10 nonprofits at Impact Online site and teach them how to enter their volunteer opportunities; or contact the city hall, chamber of commerce, and rotary clubs to let them know about Volunteer America. A Frontline Fanatic is the "point person" for each city. They coordinate nonprofit outreach, corporate sponsorship, and public relations opportunities. They are supported by the efforts of grassroots fanatics. Impact Online's West Coast Manager will provide ongoing support and a Frontline Fanatic Manual will soon be available online.
