Impact Online Seeks and Promotes
Disabled Peoples' Involvement in
Virtual Volunteering

Just as building designs can help persons who use wheelchairs to navigate doorways, Impact Online is looking for ways to enable and encourage persons with disabilities to serve in virtual volunteering programs. This means working to develop systems flexible enough to accommodate the needs and preferences of the broadest range of users of computers and telecommunications equipment, regardless of age or disability.

We want to learn how to remove communications and information access barriers that restrict business and social interactions between people with and without disabilities, and how to help organizations who use volunteers to do the same.
