What Is It?

Birth control is anything that prevents pregnancy. There are different kinds. Some work better than others. All work better than taking a chance.

It's Legal

It is legal for anyone, no matter how old they are, to get birth control.

It's Confidential

Teens do not need anyone's permission to get or use birth control. But even though they are not required to, some doctors and clinics do tell parents about a teen's visit. If you are concerned about your visit being private, call the doctor or clinic before you go and ask if your visit will be confidential.
