Diarrhea Remedy

Have the old standard KAOPECTATE on hand and ask the doctor for the dose for your baby's size. I also recommend DIASORB (very hard to find but very mild tasting and safe) and IMODIUM AD which also tastes great and works quickly. Check the dose and frequency of use and know what else you need to help your child recover, such as KAO Lectrolyte for replacing the fluids lost in the stool. Avoid Peptobismol as it contains an aspirin derivative and that's a no no in young children because of aspirin's association with Reye's syndrome.
