![]() Back to Main Recall Page3/26/97Infant CarriersGold Bug of Denver, is recalling over 5,400 Carter’s Infant Carriers . The adjustable shoulder strap of the carrier can become unfastened or separate from the buckles, resulting in an infant falling from the carrier. Gold Bug has received eight reports of straps unfastening or separating, including two reports of infants falling from the carriers and hitting their heads. J.C. Penney sold the infant carriers across the country beginning in June L966 for about $30. (The Carter’s infant carrier being recalled is style # 89000.) Consumers should stop using the carrier and call Gold Bug at 1-800-942-9442. Children’s Chaise Lounge ChairsKeysheen International Corp. of Taiwan is recalling about 38,300 children’s folding chaise lounge chairs. If the support leg of the chair’s footrest is not fully extended when a child sits down, a child’s fingers can get trapped between the support leg and the metal frame, causing a pinching or amputation injury. Several different chains sold the chairs from l994 to l997 for about $l5 to $20. Consumers should take the chairs away from children immediately. Cut a piece of fabric, measuring 11 inches long by 11 inches wide from the chair and mail it to Keysheen with a note indicating the price paid for the chair, where purchased and the consumer’s return address. (Keysheen, 901 Lawson St., City of Industry, Calif., 91748.) For more information call 1-888-539-7436. |
