Netbot's first product, Jango, is an intelligent shopping assistant. Jango helps you shop by scouring the Web for information that will help you decide what to buy and where to buy it: It will visit manufacturers' sites for product descriptions, magazine sites for impartial reviews, chat sites for user discussions, and of course, store sites for price quotes. For example, suppose you want to buy a disc of a new version of Mozart's Requiem. Jango understands that this is a work of classical music, so it contacts several online merchants known to carry classical music and gathers pricing, availability, and shipping information. At the same time, Jango queries related Web sites to locate relevant product information and reviews while checking its database for special offers and promotions. Jango makes the shopping experience transparent.
