 Working On The Web

'Tis the season when every small-business owner's fancy turns toward taxes. And one of the most comprehensive Web sites for tax information is The Digital Daily. Sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service, The Digital Daily is arranged like a newspaper. As the front page claims, it's "faster than a speeding 1040-EZ," and The Digital Daily is packed with all the tax information that's fit to print. It gives details about proposed regulations and lets you make comments to the IRS about those regulations. You can get tax bulletins, publications, copies of various IRS forms and information to help you fill out the forms. NASE Members might be articularly interested in visiting The Digital Daily's page on tax information for business. Programs and services for small business are described in detail, and you can get Publication 1558, the monthly Tax Tips Newsletter for new business owners. You can also find Your Business Tax Kit, a packet of federal forms and publications for employers.

The Digital Daily can be found at www.irs.ustreas.gov/prod/cover.html. Or you can link to the site from the NASE Web page at www.nase.org.
