Series and Works

The following are the works that CLAMP has done over the years, with some still in progress.

  • Manga

    • Clover, one of CLAMPs latest stories, interwoven with some cyberpunk3 volumes
    • Magic Knight Rayearth, a story targeted at a young girl audience, starting out like an RPG about three girls destined to become the legendary Magic Knights and save a dying world. A TVanime series and OAV series were made based on this popular series. 6 volumes. Published by Koudansha, Serialized in Nakayoshi magazine
    • RG Veda, a retelling of the Veda myths of India, although it does not follow the original. 10 volumes. Serialized in the magazine Wings, published by Shinshokan
    • Card Captor Sakura, one of CLAMP's latest and a very successful one too-very cute, shoujo manga. 7 volumes so far. Serialized in Nakayoshi
    • Shirahime Shou, 3 romantic short stories. Published by Koubunsha
    • CLAMP Campus Detectives, a story about three young boys who help the female students of their school find missing belongings, set in the same world as Duklyon. Published by Asuka
    • Shin Syunkaden, a story about a young Korean girl
    • Cluster, published by Shinkigensha
    • Combination, published by Kobunsha
    • Derayd, published by Shinkigensha
    • Left Hand, published by Shinshokan
    • Please, 20 Masks? Published by Kadokawa
    • Soryuden: Legend of the Dragon Kings(note: CLAMP only did the cover illustrations and mics. drawings for this series; they did not actually create it)
    • Campus Police Duklyon...something about two boys having to use their mecha suits to save their school, very silly and funny. 2 volumes. Serialized in Genki
    • Wish, the story of an angel who grants a man a single wish for helping her/him(shades of Ah My Goddess?)I think the leading artist for this heart-warming story is Mick Nekoi. 4 volumes.
    • Rex, a Dinosaur TaleCLAMP did a promo for the animated Rex. published by Asuka
    • Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, loosely based on the Alice in Wonderland story, except this is ummm...CLAMPs hentai version(I heard they made this series just because they said every popular manga creator has done a hentai story sometime or another in their career ^^;) Published by Kadokawa
    • Tokyo Babylon, a wonderful series with beautiful drawings and plot, set in the same world as X. 7 volumes. Serialized in South, published in Shinshokan
    • X (or X/1999), the destruction or rebirth of the Earth is in the hands of a single young man, Kamui. Includes character cards included with each installment. A hit movie was made from this series(see the anime section). 12 volumes so far. Published by Asuka

  • Anime

    • Magic Knight Rayearth-the entire manga was made into a successful half-hour TV series under the same name, with some plot differences(of course), and was longer than the original manga. Also, an OAV series was made, featuring mostly the same cast, but the storyline is much different from the anime or manga.
    • X the Movie...self explanatory...the visuals were great, but because of the complicated plot of the manga being forced into the short time slot of a movie, the storyline was bland and seemed like a succession of battles
    • Tokyo Babylon- a few OAVs were made
    • CLAMP Campus Dectectives-TV animation
    • RG Veda-also a few OAVs based on the manga
    • Miyuki-chan in Wonderland-two OVA's were made, the second was named Miyuki-chan in Mirrorland
    • CLAMP in Wonderland-a short music sequence with crossovers from many of the CLAMP stories...very funny, if u are already familiar w/CLAMP's works
    • Clover-animation clips
    • Wish-Wish Gift box-animation clips
    • Card Captor Sakura-TV series and movie
