CLAMP stands for an ingenious and very, very, talented team of four women: Mokona Apapa, Nanase Okawa, Satsuki Igarashi, and Mikku Nekoi. They have created some of the most beautifully illustrated and popular shoujo mangas(Japanese girls' comics) in the past recent years. Although their targeted reader audience are women, their mangas appeal to both female and male, which is partially why they are so widely successful. The members take turns doing the scripts and drawing sometimes, but usually each person has a specific task.
