6. Where do the Mazoku live? 

The Mazoku live beyond the boundaries of Tenkai.  Tenkai is surrounded by a Kekkai.  The Mazoku frequently attempt to break through the Kekkai set around the boundaries of Tenkai.  Thus it is the Bushinshou's work to drive away these Mazoku and repair the Kekkai.  The Mazoku can also have Kekkai of their own.  An example is the Ice Castle of Aizenmyou-Ou which situates near the Yasha Village in the north.
