The level editor provides for creating any battle one may wish. On this map, it is possible to combine different fields, different terrain elements, different buildings and fighting units.

 

" FILE " AND " OPTIONS " MENU
New
You create a new battle map for which you select the terrain among the seven basic terrains available. The size of the map is 128 by 128 squares.
 
Open
You retrieve a map already existing.
 
Save and Save as
You save the map which you have just created. With the "Save as" option, you open the target directory in which you wish to save your map. If you create a specific Skirmish mode map, you must save it in the "Skirmish" directory.
 
Quit
You quit the Level editor.
 
Editing the experience
The sections of fighters which you place on the map are level 1 experience fighters. Thanks to this option, you may increase the units' basic level. You select the experience level to which you want to raise the units. You may not increase the level of experience beyond 99.
 
Do not adjust the terrain
Certain buildings automatically generate a particular type of land underneath them. This is the case with all the buildings in the camps, as well as the wall elements which are placed on a surface field. Thanks to this option you may deactivate the land placed automatically underneath the building.
 
Use a square brush
When you apply a type of terrain on the map, the brush you use is round by default. If you wish to use a square brush, select this option.
 
Do not animate
When you place the fighting units on the map, they are animated. If you wish them to be still, select this option.

 

THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF LAND

There are seven different types of land from which to choose in the editor.

Grass
Sand
Earth
Water
Cobbled stones
Lava
Snow

This different types of land do not mix together.

 

THE VARIOUS ELEMENTS OF LAND

Once you have selected the basic land and the dimensions of your map, you can place therein the elements to be superimposed.

Elevations

With elevations, you can create hills or steep slopes. To this end, choose a type of land, choose the size of your element with the brush, click button "Go up one level" , then click the spot on the map where you wish to place your element.

The is a button " Go down one level " which has the opposite effect.

The " Scale " button provides for placing a practicable passage between two levels for the fighting units.
 
Elements of setting
The elements of the setting are quite varied since they include crops, as well as different types of trees or signposts.
 
Buildings
These are the player's castle production buildings and buildings used for the setting. Buildings from the four camps are represented, at all their levels of development. The other buildings are the villagers' houses.
 
Elements of castles
These are all the elements making up a castle, ie., elements of the walls, the towers, or the gates of the castle.
 

 

FIGHTING UNITS

The fighting units are the same units as those already mentioned for the bestiary.

Using the editor, it is possible to select the side of the units places on the map , as well as the size of the formation and their direction .
