This section will lead you through all the steps needed to get a
working, dumped EMACS up and running on the Atari ST/TT. Once
again I suggest you read the appendix on the UNIXMODE standard
since I will use many of its features in the following examples and
descriptions. [Note: the two main UNIXMODE features that I use
are: (1) the use of ``/'' instead of ``\'' as a
directory separator, and (2) the use of /dev/X instead of
X: to reference drive X.]
