Ad-Aware is a spyware removal utility that scans your memory, registry and hard drives for known spyware and scumware components and lets you remove them safely. These components are used by advertising supported software to 'call home' and exchange statistical data. Ad-Aware will list all detected files.
Removal is optional and may cause some so-called 'adware' programs to stop working. You can build backups easily before removing adware components or fixing your registry. The included backup-manager lets you reinstall a backup with a single mouseclick. VNC (Virtual Network Computing) is remote control software that allows you to view and interact with one computer (the 'server') using a simple program (the 'viewer') on another computer anywhere on the Internet. The two computers don't even have to be the same type, so for example you can use VNC to view an office Linux machine on your Windows PC at home.
You could control another computer across a network, as if sitting in front of that computer: help friends and relatives solve problems on their systems; provide a flexible hot-desking environment by allowing employees to access their office desktop and server machines from any machine in the company's offices or from other remote sites; VNC can also be used in educational contexts, for example to allow a distributed group of students simultaneously to view a computer screen being manipulated by an instructor, or to allow the instructor to take control of the students' computers to provide assistance.
