dBpowerAMP can convert to and from Wav and Mp3, and from CD Audio files, Windows Media Audio (WMA), Ogg Vorbis and many more formats. Installation: you first need to install a set of runtime library files (GTK+), then install the program itself (The GIMP).
The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a freely distributed piece of software suitable for such tasks as photo retouching and image creation and manipulation. Though not touted as a 'Photoshop killer', The GIMP nevertheless has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program, a photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter, etc.
The GIMP is extremely expandable and extensible. It is designed to be augmented with plugins and extensions to do just about anything. The advanced scripting interface allows everything from the simplest task to the most complex image manipulation procedures to be easily scripted. The GIMP is written and developed under X11 on UNIX platforms. Its memory managent system means image size is limited only by available disk space.
