Installing Adobe Acrobat
System Requirements
To use the Acrobat Reader with NETCOMplete, your system
must meet these requirements:
- IBM compatible PC with a 486 or higher processor
- Windows 95
- 8 MB of RAM
- 4 MB hard disk space
Installing the Acrobat Reader
The installation requires approximately 3 MB of free hard disk space.
Follow these steps to install Acrobat Reader 2.1 on your hard drive:
- Insert the NETCOMplete CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
- Choose Run from the Start menu.
- Enter the following command in the Run text box
to start the Setup program:
- x:\3rdparty\win95\acrobat\acroread.exe
where x is the drive containing the CD-ROM.
Or use the Browse button to navigate through the directory structure
on the CD-ROM.
- Follow the instructions on your screen.
Setting Up Weblink
PDF documents can contain links to Web pages.
You can set up the Acrobat Reader to start up
your Web browser when you follow a link to the web.
Or you can start your Web browser by clicking on the toolbar.
To set up Weblink, follow these steps:
- Open the Acrobat Reader.
- Choose Preferences from the Edit menu, then choose Weblink.
- On the Weblink Preferences dialog box,
click on Browse.
- Locate the executable file for your Web browser,
such as IEXPLORE.EXE, then click on OK.
- Click on OK on the Weblink Preferences dialog box.
The Web browser icon on the toolbar (the rightmost icon)
is no longer gray.
