upgrading online to a full VDOPhone version 3.0. If you do not have the appropriate
hardware, we recommend the US Robotics BigPicture kit for use with VDOPhone 3.0.

VDOPhone Internet lets you place a call to, or receive a call
from, any other VDOPhone Internet user with full-color video and audio over connection
speeds of 14.4 kbps to 128 KBPS. From the expert in Internet video solutions, VDOPhone
will provide the highest level of performance. Because VDOPhone is scalable and optimized
for the Internet, it automatically adjusts video quality as the available bandwidth
changes. In addition, finding each other on the Internet is easy with the use of VDOnet's
Online Directory.

VDOPhone Professional includes a POTS (H.324 Standard) mode
to keep you reliably connected to your friends and family. In addition to all of the
VDOPhone Internet features, VDOPhone Professional allows you to connect with the important
people in your life with unsurpassed performance using the stable bandwidth of direct
modem to modem connection. Because it uses the ITU H.324 Standard, you will be able to
communicate with any other H.324 video conferencing product on the market. Of course you
can also use the Internet to connect to other VDOPhone Internet users and eliminate the
cost of the long distance call.

IP Mode: Provides video telephony to any two users
regardless of TCP/IP access method --analog telephone lines (POTS), digital lines (ISDN)
or broadband network connections (LAN, Frame Relay, T1 etc.).

POTS networks via direct modem to modem connections (Professional Version).

Personal Photo Album: create a photo album by collecting a directory of snapshots of the

Audio only or Text Chat: Even without video capture capabilities you can still see the
person on the other side and use the VDOPhone as a voice phone or for text chat.

To send and receive audio on your VDOPhone, you need:
A microphone
A Windows 95 compatible sound card with supporting drivers
Earphones or speakers
NOTE: Instead of using a microphone, earphone and speakers, you can
use a headset.
For full-duplex audio capability you need: A sound card + drivers that support full duplex
To send video you need:
A video capture card compatible with Windows 95 + any standard Camcorder, VCR, VTR or
camera compatible with Windows 95 and your capture card or a digital video camera
NOTE: If no video capture card or camera is available, VDOPhone can be
used for audio only.
