Remote Office Gold is a feature rich remote-client software solution allowing off-site computers to connect to your main office LAN from a remote location. People who travel, work in a satellite office, or work at home can use Remote Office Gold to communicate to the main office LAN. When remote users dial in to the communication server, the remote PC becomes a node on the network.

Remote Office Gold functions by establishing a PPP session with a communications server. Remote Office Gold interfaces with network drivers that allow it to load with a network stack. The software supports IP, IPX and NetBIOS. At least one of these protocols must be supported by the communication server that Remote Office Gold is connecting to.

Remote Office Gold also includes a remote control utility--ReachOut Viewer--which gives concurrent remote node and remote control capabilities. When you are away from your office computer, ReachOut lets you work just as if you were there. You can access and control the computer, even your network drives. You can edit documents, check your e-mail, run programs, update spreadsheets and databases, transfer files, and share resources.

Stampede TurboGold, included in this version of Remote Office Gold, is a performance accelerator that increases network and remote node performance. It is easy to install and transparent to the user. TurboGold works by caching frequently accesses network data on the hard disk of your PC or laptop and increasing performance up to 10-times for dial-in users. It operates in either standalone or client server mode.
