Drive Mapping
Use the Drive Mapping dialog box to assign a network directory
location to a standard DOS drive name.
For example, you could assign the directory
SYMDU-CENT\SYS:PUBLIS\SYSTEM to the F: drive. When you want to
access this directory location, simply substitute the drive
letter F:. This works the same as the Netware MAP command.
To map a drive letter to a network location:
1. Select the drive you want to use from the list of
available drives and choose the Map button.
A list of available servers, volumes on the highlighted
server, and directories on the highlighted volume is
displayed.
2. Select the server, volume and directory to which you
want to map the drive, and choose the Map button.
You can navigate through the directory tree of each
volume by double-clicking on the directory names.
3. The selected drive is now mapped to the location you
specified.
