Compressed File

Compressed files take up less space than uncompressed files.
With Commander you can handle compressed files in panels, like
 normal directory panels.

 Compressed File Panels
To view the contents of a compressed file, highlight the file
you wish to open. Choose Compressed File from the Left or
Right menu. The contents of the compressed file are displayed
like the contents of a directory.
The title bar indicates that you are viewing the contents of
  a compressed file.

   +--------- C:\ --------++--- Zip:Mycomp.zip\ ---+

You can copy files to or from a compressed file, without
  decompressing the file.
You can also delete files from the compressed file panel.
You cannot however, execute any applications. Files must be
taken out of the compressed file first.

 ALT + F5 Compress Files
Highlight the files you want to compress and press ALT+F5.
The Compress dialog box appears. Enter a name for your
  compressed file.
Use the Filter button to specify criteria for the files to
  compress.
You can choose to include directories in your compressed file
and to delete files after compression.

 ALT + F6 Decompress Files
Highlight the file you want to decompress and press ALT+F6.
The decompress dialog box appears. You can decompress files to
the current directory or to another directory. To decompress
subdirectories tick the Include subdirectories box.
