To capture your first text clip, highlight some text on this page, right click in the highlighted area and click "Copy".

The first few words appear here:

and when you put the mouse over them, you see more of the clip here:

 


To capture your first graphic clip, press either the Prt Scr key to capture your entire screen or Alt+Prt Scr to capture this window.

The words "Graphic Clip" appear here:

and when you put the mouse over them, you see a thumbnail of the clip here:

If you use Internet Explorer, you can capture any web graphic by right clicking on it and clicking "Copy".

Note:
When copying graphics from Internet Explorer, you right click on the graphic without selecting it first. If you select a graphic and right click then you are copying the HTML which displays the graphic and not the graphic itself.


Whenever a clip is captured, it is given a default name. If the clip is text, the first few words of the text are used. If the clip is a graphic, the name "Graphic Clip" is used and if it is neither, the name "Program Specific Clip" is used.

You can change the clip name and add highlighting by right clicking on it..

Edit the clip name and select a highlighting color if required.

If the clip had been text, you could also edit the clip.

If you right click on an empty slot in either the palette or group area, you can create a text clip with this dialog.
