This diagnostic tool is available for use by customers who feel their Fujitsu drive may not be functioning as well as it should be. It is only designed for use on all Fujitsu EIDE hard drives.
There are 2 test modes:
  1. Quick Test
    About 1 minute, does random seek/read tests.
  2. Comprehensive Test
    About 6 minutes, also performs surface scan.

* Runs only under DOS from a bootdisk.

(For SCSI Hard Disk Drives)

This diagnostic tool is available for use by customers who feel their Fujitsu drive may not be functioning as well as it should be. It is only designed for use on all Fujitsu SCSI hard drives.
There are 3 test modes:
  1. Quick Test
    1 to 3 minutes, a basic operational test.
  2. Standard Test
    20 to 25 minutes, also performs Read/Write test.
  3. Extended Test
    30 to 70 minutes, also verify and surface test.

*Supports Windows NT/9x/2000 or later
*Requires Adaptec's ASPI32 files.



UDMA Utility

The UDMA utility is designed to change the status of the Fujitsu's MPD, MPE, and MPF series hard disk drives to pre-set transfer rates for compatible operation. Some motherboards can not run the drive properly at the detected rate of transfer. Users who experience UDMA replies of intermittently failing upon starting the Operating System should run either of the UDMA utilities

A utility to upgrade model MPG3102AT and MPG3204AT 5400 RPM ATA hard disk drivers only. This utility checks your system for applicable drives and will automatically update the firmware with a new version that can offer improved reliability in some systems.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Download the "Fujitsu HDD Flash" utility below to your Hard Disk Drive. When download is complete, execute and follow the on-screen instructions to create a floppy disk based firmware upgrade utility (1.44MB Floppy Diskette Required).

<The Change Definition utility is designed to alter certain drive parameters (including Unit Attention, Bus Parity, and SCSI level) for the Fujitsu M16xx and M2915 family of drives. This is only for the SCSI interface of these drives. The files available here are in Pkzip format. The files should be unZIPed before installation is attempted.


Erase Utility

Note: This program works only with any FUJITSU IDE hard disk drives

This procedure performs a pseudo-formatting to the drive. It erases all of your previous data and reinitializes it to "00" pattern. By performing this task, you will be able to erase the whole user area including your Master Boot Record, Partition Table, FAT (File Allocation Table), and all the files and data it refers to. Use this program if you want to be sure your drive is clean.

Warning:
All the previous data will be lost when performing the 'Erase' task.
Please backup all your important files and data before running this program.



Disk Manager® "Disk Go!"

Note: You do not need "Disk Go!" if your BIOS recognizes the full drive capacity

Disk Manager® "Disk Go!" is a dynamic drive overlay that allows you to override the drive settings from your BIOS setup. "Disk Go!" is made by Ontrack Computer, Inc. for Fujitsu hard disk drive products. It is available from their website which will work with Fujitsu hard disk drives only.

Please take the following steps:

  1. Make sure the controller or BIOS has LBA mode enabled to gain the full capacity of the drive.
  2. If you do not have either an EIDE controller or LBA mode support, leave it at the detected settings and run "Disk Go!" overlay.
