BMP is a lossless format that is good for multimedia and presentation programs. BMP have large files sizes but great quality. The BMP format is most widely used on Windows computers.
There are no settings for the BMP format.
GIF is a good format for illustrations for web pages. GIF files can only have 256 colors, making GIF a good choice for simple drawings. Other formats, such as JPG or PNG, are better for drawings with many colors and photographs.

Use the Colors slider to change the number of colors in the exported image.
Check the Transparency box to make the background of your drawing transparent in the exported GIF image. If your drawing does not have a background, the exported image will have transparency enabled by default. |
The JPG format is good for photographs for web pages and multimedia. The JPG format uses compression that can help reduce the file size of a large drawing.

Use the Units pull-down to choose the unit of measure to be used in the exported image.
Use the Width and Height fields to choose the size of the exported image. Check the Constrain Proportions check box to ensure that the dimensions of your image do not change as you enter a new value for Width or Height.
Use the Resolution pull-down to choose the resolution of the exported image. This option is only available on Windows computers. |
