You can add guides to a drawing. Objects you move near the guides will automatically align, or snap to, the guides, helping you place objects in specific locations. Guides do not export or print.
To create guides, you must have rulers showing. Go to the View menu and choose Show Rulers.
You will see rulers along the top and left sides of the workspace.
Click the ruler along the top to create a vertical guide.
Click the ruler along the left side to create a horizontal guide.
To move a guide, click and drag the guide marker on the ruler to a new place on the ruler.
To delete a guide, click and drag the guide marker off of the top or left side of the ruler.
You can hide guides so that you do not see them.
Go to the View menu and choose Show Guides to hide the guides.
To show the guides again, go to the View menu and choose Show Guides.
To delete all of the guides from a drawing, go to the View menu and choose Clear Guides.
