General Preferences

The General preferences allow you to customize a number of settings in Twist.

Change to selection tool after completing a shape: This preference causes the arrow-shaped selection tool to be selected when you complete a shape with one of the other tools.

Double-click to cycle through transform modes: By default, objects display the green handles, used for scaling. Enable this preference if you want to be able to double-click to cycle through scaling, rotating, and skewing handles rather than having to use the  pull-down menu on the editing panel.

Handle size: Use the Handle size slider to change the size of nodes and handles. Move the slider to the right to increase handle size.

Use larger fonts in dialogs: Use this preference if you want the text in certain dialogs to be displayed at a larger, easy-to-read size.

Mouse scroll wheel: This setting, available on Windows computers, allows you to choose how the scroll wheel on the mouse behaves. Choose Zoom to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel. Choose Scroll to scroll vertically with the scroll wheel. Press the Alt key on the keyboard while you use the scroll wheel to scroll horizontally.

Click the Reset to program defaults button to restore settings to how they were when Twist was first installed. This action is not undoable.

Click the Cancel button to close the Preferences dialog without saving changes you have made.

Click the Revert button if you have changed a preference and want to return it to the previous setting.
