A bank statement amount varies slightly from the amount of my MYOB transaction

If the amount of a transaction on your bank statement differs slightly from the amount you've entered into MYOB Accounting Plus, first verify which amount is the correct amount. Depending upon whether your transactions are changeable or unchangeable you can edit, reverse or delete the transaction and enter the correct amount. (Choosing changeable or unchangeable transactions) Check with your accountant or an MYOB Certified Consultant to be sure how to handle the amount of difference.

If the amount is very small you may want to enter the amount in the Bank and Deposit Adjustments window. This window is used to enter bank interest payments and bank charges, but it can also be used to enter small corrections to transactions. If the amount of difference is positive amount, enter the amount in the Interest Earned section of the window. If the amount of difference is a negative amount, enter the amount in the Service Charges section of the window. (To record bank service charges and interest earned)
