Three artists, nine tracks - it's a small but perfectly formed Osmosis this month, with the addition of a spiffy new video from globe-trotting, all-round chum Simon Walsh on the DVD version. Firstly, for your delectation, are the angelic tones of London-based Michaela Betts, a classically-trained pianist who has been recording since the tender age of 13. With a vocal style reminiscent of Kate Bush, this is definately one to watch. Next we have three tracks from (A-level grades permiting) Oxford music student Tom Hewson, with the promise of more to follow on latter editions of Osmosis. On the evidence of this rich blend of electro-jazz, we reckon Tom's a cert for Oxford, but judge for yourselves. We round off this issue with King Rich's right royal mix of soaring melodies and crackling vocal styles. The King has penned over 300 songs to date, some in unusual places - guess there's plenty of free time on the throne... More from King Rich soon. Who says beautiful things don't come is small packages!
