The number may be unlucky for some, perhaps, and this edition of Osmosis wouldn't go down at all well in China or Hong Kong, but 13 is the number of tracks you lucky Osmosis fans get to play this month.

Our quintet of contributors come from all over the United Kingdom - no international input this time. The mix of music is, as ever, eclectic. Delegato, a duo from Southampton, provide four dance tracks, while our chum Kunk from Nofolk riffs in with some classic rock guitar work, with distinct punk overtones.

Susan Raven from Welshpool brings the skills of a traditional musician to bear, developing her songs on a vintage Martin 12-string guitar before producing the final versions. No computer-generation going on here, just quality ... melodic folky quality.

Steel Mascara's trio of tracks is a little more difficult to quantify - we're not copping out here, just passing the baton of description to you, dear Osmosis listeners.

And to round off the "Now we are 41" edition of Osmosis (when life begins?) we have a trio of clearly electro-funk tracks from Working Title.

Enjoy. And hold on to your headphones for what promises to be a bumper, "best of" edition of Osmosis with next month's issue of Computer Shopper.
