Nothing can be all things to all people, but radio came very close. The radio of the 30's, 40's and 50's tried to include something for each family member. In any single day it was easy to find sport, serials, romance, comedy, news, younger listening, and as time went by the important genres of horror and sci-fi started to play an important part. This section is an attempt to catch everything that doesn't fit neatly into any of the other sections.

Sound Quality: The number of ears indicates the quality of sound where 1 ear is very poor and 7 ears is superb.

The story is based in 1960 and the location is a campus of an Eastern US college. The hour is late and in one of the college buildings two men stand in front of a door with a sign on it saying Prof. Barnhouse, Psychology.
Dimension X The Knock	6th May 1950		29.40 5.2 meg	This story starts with the wonderful words " The last man on earth sat alone in a room. There was a knock on the door". With such a wonderful opening it is impossible not to listen on to this sinister little tale.
Dimension X The Martian Chronicles	18th April 1950		24.26 4.4 meg	A strange tale about a Martian housewife who has strange dreams in which she has secret romantic meetings with a human. Her husband is far from happy about her nocturnal romance and this leads to a dramatic ending.
Dimension X The Outer Limit	8th April 1950		27.50 6.5 meg	The year is 1965. There is a vast concrete runway set in the desert of the south west. A giant metal ship stands proud and pointed to the stars. In 5 minutes the signal will flash and it will tear up through the atmosphere to the outer limits. A thrilling tale of alien contact.
Dimension X With Folded Hands	15th April 1950		29.21 6.8 meg	The year is 2006. Housework has been made easy by robots (or more correctly referred to in this story as mechanicals) who make coffee, wash the dishes, and lots more besides. Where will it all end when the humanoid becomes available ... listen and find out.
Escape The Man Who Could Work Miracles	5th January 51		27.44 4.8 meg	Adapted from a short story by H.G. Wells (War of The Worlds, etc). Lovely British accents in this tale with a message. A delightful little story that is far from the typical Escape style of thriller. Excellent sound quality.
X Minus 1 Mars is Heaven (in RealAudio format)	8th May 1955		28.30 3.3 meg	When the first space ship lands on Mars will there be life. Listen to this 1955 view of the future.
X-Minus 1 No Contact	24th April 1955		27.46 4.8 meg	It was in the year of 1982 that space men first discovered the Great Galactic Barrier. In the past 10 years rocket travel to the moon and the nearer planets had become common place and men fixed their sites on a more distant star - the remote planet of Voltar. 5 exploratory ships went out and none came back. The explorers refused to admit defeat. It was on 2 June 87 that the rocket Star Cloud made ready for take-off and win through to Voltar.
