Ever since Sherlock Holmes first hit the streets in serialised form in the late 19th century detective stories have provided a popular and everlasting genre. Popular films such as the Maltese Falcon and the throw away paperbacks of Spillane and McBain saw the genre flourish in the 40's and 50's, but one cannot underestimate the effect that radio had. Shows such as Dragnet, The Shadow, Green Hornet and many more are superb examples of this wonderful genre. Many of these shows are included here. If you've never experienced the wonderful radio detective drama of the past you are in for a pleasant surprise.

The Saint Next of Kin (in Real Audio format)	18th February 1951		27.57 3.4 meg	In the 60's and 70's The Saint was a hugely popular TV series, but many years before it had proved a major success on radio starring the superb vocal tones of Vincent Price.
