Chaz "the unity guy" will be on a roll at the white house

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Chaz "The Unity Guy," a children's entertainer has been invited by the White house to perform on the South Lawn for the Easter egg roll on Monday April 5, 1999. Over 35,000 people attend this 189 year old event. It's a great honor to be invited to the White House," said Chaz, who has never been to Washington. "I'm sure I won't realize the full effect until I actually get there."
Chaz will be staging a "send-off" show April 1 at Bowen Elementary School, 1601 Roosevelt Ave., beginning at 7 p.m. Admission is one can of food for Kentucky Harvest. On Friday, April 2, Chaz will be signing his new Children's book, "The Book of Unity," and performing songs from his new children's CD "Everybody's Gotta Love Somebody"at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 801 South Hurstbourne Parkway, beginning at 7 p.m.
Chaz has consistently promoted multiculturalism and encouraged racial unity and appreciation through his music, clothing line and children's books.
The new CD features 14 original songs. On many, children join the artist as he sings. Featuring Chaz's acoustical rhythms and G-rated lyrics, the album serves to reinforce those elements Chaz finds so important to the growth of racial harmony.
The Book of Unity presents simple but elegant drawings with universal appeal. Furthering Chaz's lifelong message of Unity, the book's poetic short tale accompanies the CD perfectly. "I was looking to develop a CD and book that showcase the value and importance of different cultures," added Rough. "But, I didn't want to produce pieces parents would only want to listen to once. Hopefully, we've got a combination here that parents and children will treasure for years to come."
Kid Unity funwear, designed by Chaz himself, promotes the idea of opening people's minds to racial and environmental harmony. It is Chaz's hope to reach audiences of all ages through as many media as possible to bring them his very positive message of hope, awareness and equality.
