Using D-Fend requires that you understand how to configure DOSBox using D-Fend. You do this by creating Profiles. There are two ways you can create a profile. You can create a profile using the Wizard or you can create a profile using the Profile Editor.

If you're new to D-Fend I recommend you read the following chapters in sequence:

·What is a Profile?
·How D-Fend Works
·Main screen
·Game List
·Default Config editor
·Profile Editor
·Shared Tabs
·Creating Profiles
·Running Games

D-Fend allows you to create Templates with which you can create profiles fast and easy. This is an advances feature and you don't need to know about it in order to use D-Fend but I highly recommend learning about using Templates. The following chapters deal with Templates.

·Templates
·Template Editor
·Creating a Profile Using a Template

The chapters above all cover dealing with profiles in some manner. However D-Fend allows you to do a lot more then just create profiles and run games. If you want to know more about some advanced features I recommend you read the following chapters:

·Creating a Shortcut
·Importing & Exporting Profiles
·Changing Dynamic Options
·Tips & Tricks
