| Here is where you set-up DOS Box's installation folder. You browse using the browse button or you can type the path name yourself. This the most vital setting in D-Fend. Without this setting you cannot start any games. When you install D-Fend for the first time the first thing you need to do is set-up the DOSBox installation folder or D-Fend will not start. D-Fend will not allow you to select an invalid path. Note that D-Fend will only look for the file 'dosbox.exe'.

| If you're like my you will probably put all your DOS games in a separate folder. You can set-up that folder here. When you browse for a game (or setup) this is the first folder that the browse will show. I recommend using this setting it really speeds things up

| · | Remembers last profile Tab
|
| Setting this option will make the Profile Editor show the last tab you used when editing a profile. Very useful if you are tweaking certain settings.

| · | Hide DOSBox console
|
| Enabling this setting will cause the DOSBox console to be hidden when you start a game.
|
| · | Minimize D-Fend
|
| Setting this option will minimize D-Fend when you start a game. Useful because minimized programs receive less attention from Windows and claim less memory.
