Keybindings:

Due to the single player nature of Spatial Fear: Prologue you should make yourself comfortable with some new keybindings.

UseKey

The UseKey is Your main way of interacting with the environment. By pressing the UseKey you open doors, activate engines, access keycard readers and many other things.

Creeping

Besides the well know movements of walking and crouching, SpatialFear introduces a third player state: Creeping.

this is were you go down on your belly and crawl you way through narrow passages and tight tubes.

Active Item Belt

Located in the lower right corner of your HUD you will find your active item belt. This display informs you about all the items that you are currently holding and that can actively use to perform certain tasks. 

An example of an active item if the Flashlight. You have to activate it to get some light in dark areas and disable it later on to save some battery power.

You bring up the active item display by pressing the "Next Active Item" or "previous Active Item" keys. These keys are also used to scroll through all active items, in case you posses more than one of them.

Pressing the UseKey while having selected an active item with the next/previous key will activate/deactivate it.

Passive Item Belt

Since there are active items in the game, so are passive ones. These are mainly items that you have to collect in order to accomplish some tasks. An example of a passive items is a keycard. The keybinding for "Show/Hide Passive Items" lets you manage the display of this window.

Accept Communications

whenever the captain wants to communicate with you a transmission will be send to your HUD module. In the lower left corner of your HUD a little icon will indicate the availability of a new transmission. By pressing the "Accept Communications" key you can start the playback of the transmission.

Cancel Communications

During a playback of a transmission you are free to cancel an continue by just pressing the "Cancel Communications" key. Due to the fact that some transmissions are vital for your survival. you HUD module has an build in mode to disable the "cancel Communications" feature for very important messages.

Communications

During fast paged action and thrilling fight you might not be able to follow every communication with the necessary attention. To keep a history of received communications your HUD module Uses a 32MB lightwire storage module. You can bring up the stored history by using the "Communications" key.

Loading and Saving

There are a couple of binding to support you for loading and saving the game state.

QuickSave: Does an immediate save using the special Quicksave slot.

QuickLoad: Does an immediate Load using the special Quicksave slot.

Load Menu: Provides you with a little menu to load a game from a set of savegames.

Save Menu: Provides you with a little menu to Save a game to a set of savegame slots.
